Other food magazines give you ideas of what to cook; Cook's Illustrated Magazine teaches you how to cook-- like a pro. With step by step instructions of "how to;" advice on cooking utensils and ingredient; and information on where to buy those specialty items, this is a must have for anyone who knows the basics, but would like to improve culinary skills.

Cooks Illustrated Magazine is a great periodical for cooks of all skill types. As an advanced cook, I enjoy reading about the trials and errors that were encountered during the creation of each recipe. Also informative are the product and ingredient reviews. I like how Cook's Illustrated will rate everything from chocolate to waffle makers. Most of all, I appreciate how there is no outside advertising - I consider Cook's Illustrated the Consumer Reports of the cooking world.

I love Cooks Illustrated magazine! I am not culinary trained, but I love to cook at home. I really enjoy the great lengths that Cooks Illustrated goes to "test" different cooking methods, ingredients, and appliances. My only complaint is that I wish they offered more issues for me to read!

I am hooked, Cook’s Illustrated is one of the best cooking magazines! Each recipe is tested several different ways to get the best turnout. Not just recipes, but cooking equipment and food brands are tested and reviewed. There are not a lot of pictures, but the reading is informative and in depth. This is a must for anyone that likes to cook.
